Job summary

Pinehurst, LLC is seeking a shuttle driver to safely transport guests to and from airports and around the resort property. A valid CDL with passenger endorsement and a high school diploma or GED are required, with at least 5 years of driving experience.

You will follow safety policies, assist guests with luggage, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and log daily assignments while upholding our hospitality standards in a historic resort environment.

SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of this position is to safely transport passengers to and from airports and on property to and from condos, hotels and amenities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years related experience operating a licensed motor vehicle required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in hospitality and/or customer service preferred. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This position involves driving a company vehicle and/or company insured vehicle. A valid Commercial driver’s license with passenger endorsement is required, along with successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual MVRs, according to company guidelines. Follow safe, defensive driving practices at all times, obey all traffic laws, regulations, signals and markings, use a seat belt, and follow Company policies and procedures, including the Substance Abuse Policy. Never drive while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications that may impair your ability to operate a vehicle safely, report any accidents immediately and cooperate fully with insurance claims investigations.
  • Maintain CDL license with Passenger endorsement, including DOT physical prior to expiration.
  • Fax/Mail all CDL certification to state agency office direct to ensure State/Federal records on file are up to date
  • Follow by all CDL requirements, including random drug screening.
  • Log assigned vehicle daily.
  • Safely transport guests to and from airport and on property locations.
  • Promptly respond to shuttle calls and provide transportation to guests throughout resort property.
  • Wear and maintain the cleanliness of assigned uniform, including assigned headset.
  • Complete a full vehicle inspection at the beginning and end of each vehicle assignment/shift to include fuel level, cleanliness, and any physical damage to the vehicle. Clean and replenish fuel as needed. Report low fuel level or physical damage to vehicle prior to driving.
  • Immediately report to the Director of Transportation any accidents, speeding tickets or any other driving-related violation.
  • Confirm all details of the next day’s work schedule with the Transportation Coordinator or Supervisor.
  • Double check tickets and assignments upon arrival at work each day.
  • Play designated DVD(s) for guests arriving from the airports.
  • Prepare a cooler with bottled water for airport transfers.
  • Assist guests with luggage and golf clubs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear, stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move large quantities of golf bags up to 75 pounds. Individuals must be able to load and unload luggage. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Driving during non-daylight hours is a requirement. This includes early morning, pre-dawn and after sunset.

This position requires the ability to wear a headset for radio communication.
