Job summary

Roberts Hawaii, Inc. seeks a Trainer to model safety and deliver CDL-focused education for Drivers and Aides across all island locations. You will instruct on pre-trip procedures, driving techniques, and CDL preparation to qualify for endorsements, while generating daily DOT reports.

Responsibilities include preparing training materials, administering tests, evaluating driver performance, conducting tailgate meetings, and mentoring fellow trainers to uphold safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• 4-10 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Ability to train on multiple topics including CDL preparation and safety procedures.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepares classroom/office for daily training and develops training materials.
• Administers tests and prepares daily training agendas.
• Instructs CDL-related courses and safety topics (CPR, AED, First Aid).
• Produces DOT reports on training conducted and tracks performance data.
• Conducts field observations and driver evaluations weekly.
• Trains new trainers and supervises driver/aide groups as needed.
• Coordinates with other departments and attends recruitments/events.
