Qualifications

• Valid CDL; Class level must meet position requirement.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 years of verifiable on-the-road experience within the last 5 years.
• MVR and background check, including a drug screening.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and DOT drug screen.
• Maintain valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate and pass DOT tests as required.
• Knowledge of pre-trip inspections, air-brake tests, and CDL driving basics.

Responsibilities

• Train students in trucking/driving.
• Administer written tests and evaluate grades.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of CMVs.
• Instruct air-brake tests and backing maneuvers.
• Teach 45-degree alley-docking and parallel parking.
• Deliver material effectively with proper communication.
• Assess progress using skill evaluations.
