Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is hiring a Driver Trainee to train alongside experienced drivers, learning route service and CDL responsibilities. You will work on waste and recycling collection, operate a truck safely, and complete required inspections.

The program requires obtaining a DOT medical card within 10 days, a Class B CDL permit within 60 days, and a Class B CDL within 90 days, with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand a map and plan routes.
• Ability to enter/exit the truck approximately 300-500 times per day.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Attend classroom and field training to obtain CDL license.
• Assist as a helper during training to complete daily routes.
• Operate a truck safely and service assigned routes.
• Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain logs.
• Interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
