Job summary

Rumpke is seeking a Driver Trainee in Kentucky to learn from seasoned CDL drivers. You will train in the classroom and on the road, preparing for the CDL license and beginning to service routes with waste and recycling trucks.

Qualifications

• Must obtain a DOT medical card within 10 days of employment.
• Must obtain a Class B CDL permit within 60 days of employment.
• Must obtain a Class B CDL within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Attend classroom and field training to obtain required CDL license.
• Assist as a helper during training to complete daily routes.
• Enter/exit a truck 300-500 times per day to service routes.
• Operate a truck safely in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Provide waste or recycling removal services to customers on routes.
• Clean up waste spills and overflows.
• Maintain and update route sheets/logs.
• Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and logs.
• Interacts professionally with customers and internal teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
