Job summary

Ben E. Keith Company in Texas is seeking a DOT Driver Trainee to deliver product along assigned routes, with multiple stops, and to gain experience toward a Driver DOT position.

You will maintain logs, read invoices, assemble orders, and ensure on-time delivery while upholding safety standards. Qualified candidates have a valid Class A CDL, high school diploma or GED, and related driving experience; physical stamina and ability to work in varied weather are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL license required.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent training/experience.
• One year or more related delivery experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver product along assigned routes with multiple stops.
• Read customer invoices to determine items to move and deliver.
• Assemble customer orders for delivery to businesses.
• Maintain delivery time windows for each stop on the route.
• Inspect vehicle and report any mechanical issues.
