Job summary

JTB Hawaii, Inc. is seeking a CDL Trainee to join our team on Oahu. You will receive classroom and on-the-road training to drive commercial vehicles, transporting guests on designated routes with a focus on safety and service.

The training period is typically thirty to thirty-five days, after which you may advance. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, a clean Hawaii driver’s license, and a CDL permit or license (B/C) with endorsements. Overtime and weekend shifts are possible.

Qualifications

• High school graduate and at least 21 years old.
• Valid Hawaii driver’s license with a clean abstract.
• CDL permit or CDL license (B/C) with air brake and passenger endorsements.
• At least 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Able to communicate with customers via radio/PA in English and/or Japanese.

Responsibilities

• Classroom and on-the-road training for driving commercial vehicles.
• Transport guests on routes across Oahu in a professional manner.
• Complete training including defensive driving, onboarding and route sheet documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
