Job summary

Waste Management in Hobbs, New Mexico is seeking a CDL Driver to operate heavy-duty trucks and handle waste/recyclables. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections and adhere to safety rules. The role requires CDL A or B with air-brake endorsements, 18+ years old, and legal work eligibility.

You will report to the Route Manager and coordinate with Operations to ensure efficient routing and on-time service, with emphasis on safe backing maneuvers and proper disposal procedures.

Qualifications

• 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the country.
• Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public and complete reports.
• Pre-employment screening, including drug screen and physical.
• CDL Class A with air-brake endorsement or CDL Class B with air-brake endorsement.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty trucks and perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Dump all receptacles and keep customer site clean and debris-free.
• Follow safety rules, OSHA and DOT requirements, and route manager instructions.
• Communicate service interruptions and customer requests to Operations.
• Back up with strong backing maneuvers and complete end-of-day documentation.
