Job summary

Misa Imports is seeking a dependable Commercial Driver to join our logistics team in Dallas, TX. This role focuses on safe, timely deliveries and compliance with DOT regulations while maintaining accurate records and strong communication with dispatch.

You will operate CDL-equipped vehicles, conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections, and adhere to schedules with limited supervision in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with appropriate endorsements.
• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in the delivery or warehouse / distribution business.
• Able to lift, move and carry objects up to 50lbs for an extended period.
• Able to push and pull up to 200lbs.
• Operate manual / electric pallet jacks.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Proven experience operating commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and DOT requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good physical condition and ability to perform vehicle inspections and handle cargo.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and routes.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies.
• Transport goods and materials over short or long distances while adhering to delivery schedules.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and report any maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours of service.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
• Work independently and make decisions to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and requirements for commercial drivers.
