Job summary

Recology is seeking a dependable driver for a Monday–Friday shift from 4:00am to 1:30pm in the Portland, OR area. The role emphasizes safe operation of the assigned vehicle and courteous service to customers.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, load materials within legal limits, and report incidents promptly, with opportunities for growth within a supportive, employee-owned company. Recology offers PTO, health coverage, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• One year of commercial driving experience is required; two years are preferred.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and local regulations for waste/hauling operations.
• Basic computer skills for scheduling and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily safety checks and pre-trip inspections.
• Operates vehicle in assigned service areas in a timely, safe manner.
• Loads materials according to procedures and reports violations.
• Ensures hazardous materials compliance and legal load limits.
• Maintains positive customer relations and supports community image.
• Other duties as assigned.
