Job summary

Clayton is seeking a CDL driver to transport materials within the Supply Group. Responsibilities include logging, reporting expenses, completing IFTA, and ensuring proper paperwork and signatures. Daily tasks involve dispatch data entry, maintaining safety and regulatory compliance, and coordinating loads with customers and sales reps.

The role requires a Class A CDL, 3+ years of driving, excellent driving record, and basic mechanical/computer skills. Full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of professional driving experience, including mountain driving.
• Class A CDL required with a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of USDOT, FMCSA, and state regulations governing transport of products.
• Loads/unloads safely and complies with all laws and regulations.
• Strong communication skills and prior customer service experience.
• Basic mechanical and computer skills for daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Completes and maintains daily truck logs accurately.
• Maintains reporting of expenses and receipts for fuel cards.
• Completes IFTA reports as required.
• Reports unsafe conditions regarding equipment usage.
• Secures customer signatures on shipping docs and contracts.
• Uses in-cab computer for dispatching and data entry.
• Follows FMCSA & USDOT inspections and other regulatory requirements.
• Adheres to schedule; may require weekends or extended hours.
• Coordinates load movements with customers and sales reps.
