Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A required for the vehicle operated.
• Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents in the past 3 years.
• Ability to pass DOT physical examination and drug screening.
• Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS).
• Proven experience operating commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial motor vehicles in compliance with all applicable laws and company policies.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and maintenance standards are met.
• Plan and follow efficient routes to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption and time management.
• Load and unload cargo safely, verifying shipment contents and securing loads to prevent damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery records in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other stakeholders to provide updates and resolve any delivery issues.
• Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or incidents promptly to management and follow company safety protocols.
