GFL Environmental is seeking a Roll-Off Driver to provide waste removal services efficiently and safely. The role involves operating roll-off trucks, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring route quality. Ideal candidates will have a valid CDL and at least one year of commercial driving experience.
Pay: $24-28/hour, depending on experience

The Roll-Off Driver will be responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously providing waste removal services to customers across multiple lines of business. The CDL Driver will collect waste from customer sites and transport it to disposal facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate roll-off trucks and equipment for waste collection.
• Complete safety inspections, route documentation, and reports daily.
• Report mechanical issues immediately.
• Maintain route quality standards.
• Use proper techniques to operate trucks and equipment safely.
• Follow all safety standards, rules, and regulations.
• Communicate potential hazards prior to tasks.
• Keep vehicles clean and report accidents.
• Maintain professional demeanor and appearance.
• Wear all required PPE at all times.
• Keep accurate service records.
• Collaborate to improve routing efficiency.
• Attend safety and branch meetings.
• May require overtime.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid CDL required.
• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Meet safety-sensitive criteria.
• Demonstrate safe driving and equipment operation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to operate necessary vehicles and equipment.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to write reports and read instructions.
• Apply common sense and problem-solving.
• Follow instructions and work independently.
Physical and Mental Demands:
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks.
• Visual requirements for driving and maneuvering.
• Lift/move up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Work in loud, outdoor environments.
• Exposure to various weather and environmental conditions.
Working Conditions:
• Frequently in noisy, outdoor, and potentially hazardous environments.
• Work route away from branch location.
• Occasionally in high places.
• Constant traffic conditions.
• Loud work environment.
