Job summary

County of Blair is seeking a CDL truck driver to operate dump trucks, snow plows, and construction vehicles to serve County roads and bridges. Responsibilities include deliveries, cargo handling, and log maintenance, with strict adherence to safety protocols and traffic rules.

Qualified candidates will hold a High School diploma or GED, a Class A CDL and a PA license, and at least 1 year of related experience. English literacy and knowledge of PA transport regulations are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active CDL Class A license and PA driver's license with clean record.
• Minimum one year of direct experience operating commercial and large vehicles.
• Ability to communicate in English and read traffic signs.
• Knowledge of Pennsylvania transport regulations and basic vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CDL-heavy vehicles including dump trucks and snow plow.
• Load, unload, and deliver cargo; monitor logs and mileage.
• Inspect vehicles and safety equipment; perform minor on-road repairs.
• Maintain grounds, roads, and bridges; perform snow/ice removal and debris cleanup.
• Be available for call-back, extended shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
