Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking a qualified CDL Driver/Rigger in Morrisville, PA to transport equipment to job sites and assist with rigging and crating tasks. You will drive tractor-trailer rigs under DOT regulations and perform daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections.

The role requires load securement, tarping, and safe handling of heavy equipment, plus teamwork, good communication, and independent problem solving in a fast-paced field environment. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Possess valid Class A CDL with Air breaks and combo endorsements.
• Minimum two (2) years proven driving experience at CDL level.
• Minimum three (3) years proven experience or comparable field preferably within the construction service industry.
• Basic knowledge of operating equipment (Forklifts, man lifts, mobile platform lifts, etc.).
• Experienced knowledge of load securement and safe hauling practices.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment; hand, power and pneumatic tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor-trailer rigs under DOT regulations to job sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily.
• Drive safely and transport equipment to job sites.
• Electronic logging.
• Secure, tarp, tie-down, and load/unload equipment safely.
• Adhere to safety requirements when hauling loads.
• Operate forklifts and other lifting equipment as needed.
• Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads.
• Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces.
• Complete daily paperwork and housekeeping duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability.
• Attach loads to rigging to provide support for moving.
