Job summary

FCC Environmental Services, LLC is seeking a CDL driver to operate commercial vehicles on assigned routes and perform daily safety checks. You will engage with dispatchers and customers to ensure timely, professional service while adhering to FCC safety procedures.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, a valid CDL Class A or B, and DOT/FMCSA compliance. Garbage/recycling experience is preferred; the company offers comprehensive benefits and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Completes pre/post-operation checks of commercial vehicle to verify safety and readiness.
• Operates vehicles on assigned routes including streets, neighborhoods, and alleys.
• Manages paperwork and reports accurately and timely.
• Maintains safety regulations and interacts courteously with dispatchers and customers.
• Ensures vehicle downtime is minimized and services are delivered on schedule.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes a pre/post-operation check of a commercial vehicle in line with FCC regulations to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, gauges, and other components are in correct operating condition.
• Ensures commercial vehicles are safely operated on allocated routes that encompass roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys.
• Ability to manually and/or automate controls and joystick equipment in compliance with the FCC's safety regulations and procedures.
• Engages courteously with co-workers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure that all services are performed in a timely and professional way.
• Continuously monitors the vehicle's status to ensure it remains operationally ready in order to reduce downtime.
• Completes necessary paperwork and other reports accurately.
• Maintains departmental productivity standards to ensure all clients are serviced in a timely and effective way.
• Follows and enforces all safety regulations and procedures.

Job Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED
• Experience and Competencies: Garbage/Recycling experience preferred
• Valid CDL Class A or B
• Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as necessary
• Must meet all qualifications as defined under Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
• Must be registered with the FMCSA's Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
