FCC Environmental Services is seeking a CDL driver to safely operate a commercial vehicle and provide timely waste collection services. The role requires adherence to FCC safety rules and strong customer interaction on daily routes.

Responsibilities include vehicle checks, on-route operations, paperwork, and maintaining productivity while following safety regulations. High school diploma or GED and Class B CDL are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Garbage/recycling experience preferred.
• Class B commercial driver's license.
• Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as necessary.
• Must meet all qualifications as defined under DOT regulations.
• Clearinghouse profile required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre/post-operation checks of a commercial vehicle per FCC regulations.
• Operate vehicles on assigned routes including streets, neighborhoods, and alleys.
• Manipulate controls and joystick equipment per safety procedures.
• Interact courteously with coworkers, dispatchers and customers.
• Monitor vehicle status to minimize downtime and maintain readiness.
• Complete paperwork and reports accurately.
• Maintain productivity standards to service all clients promptly.
• Follow and enforce all safety regulations and procedures.

Position Summary

The driver position is responsible for safely operating a commercial motor vehicle and providing prompt and complete collection services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes a pre/post-operation check of a commercial vehicle in line with FCC regulations to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, gauges, and other components are in correct operating condition.
• Ensures commercial vehicles are safely operated on allocated routes that encompass roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys.
• Ability to manually and/or automate controls and joystick equipment in compliance with the FCC's safety regulations and procedures.
• Engages courteously with co-workers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure that all services are performed in a timely and professional way.
• Continuously monitors the vehicle's status to ensure it remains operationally ready in order to reduce downtime.
• Completes necessary paperwork and other reports accurately.
• Maintains departmental productivity standards to ensure all clients are serviced in a timely and effective way.
• Follows and enforces all safety regulations and procedures.

Requirements Education
