FCC Environmental Services is seeking a driver to perform pre- and post-operation checks on commercial vehicles, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. You will operate vehicles along varied routes, engage with dispatchers and customers, and maintain readiness to minimize downtime.

The role emphasizes adherence to safety protocols, accurate reporting, and productive service delivery. Ideal candidates will hold CDL Class A or B, be registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, and meet DOT

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B required.

• Must meet all qualifications defined under DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Completes pre- and post-operation checks of a commercial vehicle per FCC regulations.
• Operates vehicles on assigned routes including roads, neighborhoods, and alleys.
• Manages controls and joystick equipment per safety procedures.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes a pre- and post-operation check of a commercial vehicle in line with FCC regulations to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, gauges, and other components are in correct operating condition.
• Ensure commercial vehicles are safely operated on allocated routes that encompass roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys.
• Ability to manually and/or automatically operate controls and joystick equipment in compliance with the FCC's safety regulations and procedures.
• Engage courteously with co-workers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure that all services are performed in a timely and professional way.
• Continuously monitors the vehicle's status to ensure it remains operationally ready in order to reduce downtime.
• Completes necessary paperwork and other reports accurately.
• Maintains departmental productivity standards to ensure all clients are serviced in a timely and effective way.
• Follows and enforces all safety regulations and procedures.

Job Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED
• Experience and Competencies: Garbage/Recycling experience preferred
• Valid CDL Class A or B
• Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as necessary
• Must meet all qualifications as defined under Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
• Must be registered with the FMCSA's Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
