Job summary

FCC Environmental Services is seeking a driver responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle and delivering prompt waste collection services. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections and drive on various routes while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, a Class B CDL, and the ability to lift heavy objects. A DOT Clearinghouse profile is required as part of employment.

Qualifications

• Garbage/Recycling experience preferred.
• Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as necessary.
• Must meet all qualifications defined under DOT regulations.
• Clearinghouse profile required.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre/post operation checks on a commercial vehicle.
• Drives routes including streets, residential areas and alleys.
• Operates vehicle controls in compliance with safety procedures.
• Engages with dispatchers, coworkers and customers professionally.
• Completes paperwork and reports accurately.
• Maintains productivity standards to service clients timely.
• Follows safety regulations and procedures.

It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.Position Summary:The driver position is responsible for safely operating a commercial motor vehicle and providing prompt and complete collection services.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Completes a pre/post-operation check of a commercial vehicle in line with FCC regulations to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, gauges, and other components are in correct operating condition.Ensures commercial vehicles are safely operated on allocated routes that encompass roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys.Ability to manually and/or automate controls and joystick equipment in compliance with the FCC's safety regulations and procedures.Engages courteously with co-workers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure that all services are performed in a timely and professional way.Continuously monitors the vehicle's status to ensure it remains operationally ready in order to reduce downtime.Completes necessary paperwork and other reports accurately.Maintains departmental productivity standards to ensure all clients are serviced in a timely and effective way.Follows and enforces all safety regulations and procedures.RequirementsEducation:High School diploma or GEDExperience and Competencies:Garbage/Recycling experience preferredClass B commercial driver’s licenseAbility to lift or carry heavy objects as necessaryMust meet all qualifications as defined under Department of Transportation regulationsClearinghouse profile requiredFCC is a drug-free workplace.
