Job summary

FCC Environmental Services, LLC is seeking a driver to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle and provide prompt waste collection services. The driver will perform pre/post-operation checks, navigate diverse routes, and maintain documentation with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, a Class B CDL, ability to lift heavy objects, and compliance with DOT and FCC safety regulations. We offer a team environment with growth and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Garbage/recycling experience preferred.
• Class B commercial driver's license.
• Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as necessary.
• Must meet DOT regulations; Clearinghouse profile required.

Responsibilities

• Completes a pre/post-operation check of a commercial vehicle in line with FCC regulations.
• Ensures vehicles are safely operated on assigned routes including roads, neighborhoods and alleys.
• Operates controls and joystick equipment in compliance with safety procedures.
• Engages courteously with co-workers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure timely service.
• Monitors vehicle status to minimize downtime and maintain readiness.
• Completes paperwork and reports accurately while maintaining productivity.
• Follows and enforces all safety regulations and procedures.

Position Summary:

The driver position is responsible for safely operating a commercial motor vehicle and providing prompt and complete collection services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Completes a pre/post-operation check of a commercial vehicle in line with FCC regulations to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, gauges, and other components are in correct operating condition. Ensures commercial vehicles are safely operated on allocated routes that encompass roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys. Ability to manually and/or automate controls and joystick equipment in compliance with the FCC's safety regulations and procedures. Engages courteously with co-workers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure that all services are performed in a timely and professional way. Continuously monitors the vehicle's status to ensure it remains operationally ready in order to reduce downtime. Completes necessary paperwork and other reports accurately. Maintains departmental productivity standards to ensure all clients are serviced in a timely and effective way. Follows and enforces all safety regulations and procedures.

Experience and Competencies:
