Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain a flexible schedule with overtime, events, and holidays as needed
• Provide safe, courteous transportation for Atlantic Health riders
• Wear uniform with visible ID badge and maintain professional appearance
• Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and equipped daily
• Perform pre-trip checks including oil and fluid levels and complete rig check sheets
• Accurately clock in/out and arrive on time for scheduled stops
• Collaborate with other drivers to ensure timely service
• Follow Atlantic Health/Atlantic Ambulance policies and procedures and attend trainings
• Keep DOT physicals and NJ driver’s license up to date
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to a team environment

Job description

Atlantic Health System is seeking a CDL Driver for Atlantic Ambulance in Livingston to cover per diem shifts.

• Ensures day to day transportation services for Atlantic Health are completed in a timely and professional manner.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Must be able to maintain a flexible schedule and available for overtime, special events and Holidays as needed by the department
• Demonstrates good customer service skills, and respect to all riders, including handling grievances professionally.
• Must be in full Uniform including a visible ID badge, key peg and maintain a professional appearance
• Vehicles are to be cleaned inside and out daily, fueled after each shift, and all required equipment is in vehicle
• Oil and all fluid levels must be checked before the shift and Rig Check Sheets are to be completed and turned in daily
• Swipes in and out on time
• Is on time for routine scheduled stops
• Completes tasks and assignments in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner
• Work closely with other Drivers and communicates as needed to ensure a timely, efficient service
• Adheres to all Atlantic Health and Atlantic Ambulance Policy and Procedures
• Completes all required training and maintains all required certifications and licenses
• It is the responsibility of the employee to keep all DOT Physical appointments and NJ Driver's License requirements up to date.

• Must attend all Transportation staff meetings
