Job summary

Vermont Foodbank in Barre, VT is seeking an Operations Associate – CDL Driver on a temporary basis starting October. You will safely operate Foodbank vehicles across Vermont, load and deliver food, and work with volunteers and staff to ensure timely service.

This role keeps you home most nights and offers a chance to contribute to communities. Requirements include a valid Class B CDL, ability to lift 45 pounds, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Experience driving large trucks in a food-related environment is preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with volunteers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Vermont Foodbank vehicles on local routes, home daily.
• Load/unload and distribute food products; coordinate with volunteers and staff.
• Engage with community members from diverse backgrounds.
• Support warehouse logistics, inventory, and equipment movement.
• Collaborate with Warehouse, Facilities, and Community Impact teams.
