Job summary

Advanced Structural Technologies, Inc. in Oxnard, CA is seeking a reliable Driver & Material Handler to move materials between facilities using a 20-foot flatbed truck and forklifts. The role includes loading, unloading, and warehouse organization with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate holds a Class B CDL (HazMat preferred) and has forklift experience, clean driving record, and the ability to work outdoors and withstand warehouse conditions across multi-shift operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• HazMat endorsement strongly preferred; AST may cover endorsement cost.
• Forklift certification and at least one year of forklift operation experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
• Experience operating a flatbed truck or commercial vehicle preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a company truck to transport materials, parts, equipment, and tools between nearby AST facilities.
• Load, unload, and secure items on the 20-foot flatbed truck using appropriate strapping and handling methods.
• Safely operate forklifts ranging from 3,500 to 35,000 lbs. in capacity to move goods.
• Assist with daily shipping and receiving tasks, material staging, and internal deliveries across departments.
• Relocate and organize raw materials, in-process parts, and finished goods in designated storage areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in warehouse and yard areas and assist with general material-handling and organization tasks.
• Perform daily vehicle and forklift inspections and report any mechanical or safety issues.
• Follow all company safety protocols, driving guidelines, and material-handling procedures.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to support efficient operations.
