Job summary

Staff Perm is seeking a Certified Forklift Operator in Oxnard, CA to safely move materials in a climate controlled warehouse environment. You will operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, load and unload, and support accurate receipt and shipment of goods.

Ideal candidates have forklift experience and a valid certification, pass background checks and drug screening, and can lift up to 50 pounds while maintaining clean records and safety standards in a fast paced distribution operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of drug test and background check.
• Forklift experience required.
• Ability to operate sit down and/or stand up forklifts.
• Basic reading, writing, and numerical skills.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and clerical duties related to shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment, and finished products under general supervision.
• Receive goods, verify items against shipment records, and inspect their condition.
• Gather, verify, and pack items for shipment according to specifications and transportation methods.
• Record received and shipped items following established procedures.
• Route materials, supplies, and equipment to inspection or stock areas.
• Complete written and computerized documentation accurately.
