Job summary

Mobile Modular Portable Storage - A Division of McGrath is hiring a CDL Driver in California. You will transport oversized loads, perform yard work, and perform basic repairs while keeping safety at the forefront. The role offers a Monday–Friday day shift, home every night, and opportunities for performance bonuses and benefits.

You will also perform pre/post-trip inspections, handle load securement, and provide customer service at drop/pickup sites as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year recent verifiable Class A driving experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs to shoulder level.
• Ability to operate a winch and other equipment related to tractors, tanks and boxes.
• Ability to secure loads with straps and tie-downs.
• Ability to work varying day shifts Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

• Pickup and drop portable containers and portable offices at locations.
• Perform basic cleaning and repairs on containers in the yard and at customer job sites.
• Maintain compliance of required safety equipment and gear for self and any assigned vehicle.
• Complete quality check Pre and Post-Trip inspections; ensure mileage is reported appropriately for compliance or other reporting requirements.
• Coordinate maintenance on vehicles and do spot inspections for cleanliness and any potential driving hazards.
• Provide customer service to customers at the drop/pickup site and coordinate with the sales or operations staff on any issues.
• Communicate frequently with dispatch or operations on trips, delays, issues, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

A Day in the Life of a CDL Driver

As a CDL Driver, your day starts with purpose and ends with pride. You'll be behind the wheel transporting oversized and overweight loads, ensuring each delivery is made safely, efficiently, and with a customer-first mindset. You will also be cleaning and doing minor repairs on the containers in the yard or out at customer job sites. Whether you're relocating units, performing set-ups and knockdowns, installing value-added features, or making repairs on a service call, your work directly supports our customers and keeps operations running smoothly. You'll interact with customers regularly, becoming a trusted face they rely on. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety ensures every unit is delivered in top condition. And the best part? Must Haves

Special Considerations:
