Job summary

Mobile Modular Portable Storage is seeking a CDL driver to transport oversized and overweight loads to customer sites with a strong focus on safety and customer service. You will be responsible for delivering and setting up units, performing basic maintenance, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed.

The role offers weekday day shifts with home daily and competitive benefits. Prior CDL-A experience and a commitment to safety are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year recent verifiable Class A driving experience.
• Ability to work varied shifts including early morning day shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. to shoulder level.
• Ability to work with a winch and other equipment for tractors, tanks and boxes.
• Ability to use straps and tie-downs to secure loads.

Responsibilities

• Pickup and drop portable containers and offices at locations.
• Perform cleaning and light repairs on containers in yard and at customer sites.
• Maintain compliance of safety equipment for self and vehicle.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and report mileage as required.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and spot inspections for safety.
• Provide customer service at drop/pickup sites and coordinate with sales/ops on issues.
• Communicate with dispatch/operations about trips and delays.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

A Day in the Life of a CDL Driver

As a CDL Driver, your day starts with purpose and ends with pride. You’ll be behind the wheel transporting oversized and overweight loads, ensuring each delivery is made safely, efficiently, and with a customer-first mindset. Whether you're relocating units, performing set-ups and knockdowns, or installing value-added features, your work directly supports our customers and keeps operations running smoothly. You’ll interact with customers regularly, becoming a trusted face they rely on. You will also assist with cleaning and maintaining the containers as nee. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety ensures every unit is delivered in top condition. And the best part? You’ll enjoy steady, year-round work from Monday through Friday—and be home every night! What You’ll Do

• Pickup and drop portable containers and portable offices at locations
• Perform cleaning and light repairs on the containers in yard and at customer locations as needed
• Maintain compliance of required safety equipment and gear for self and any assigned vehicle
• Complete quality check Pre and Post-Trip inspections; ensure that mileage is reported appropriately for compliance or other reporting requirements
• Coordinate maintenance on vehicles and do spot inspections for cleanliness and any potential driving hazards
• Provide customer service to customers at the drop/pickup site and coordinate with the sales or operations staff on any issues
• Communicate frequently with dispatch or operations on trips, delays, issues, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Must Haves

• Minimum of 1 year recent verifiable Class A driving experience

• Ability work a winch and other equipment related to the tractor, tanks and boxes
• Ability to leverage straps and tie-downs to secure loads.

Nice to Haves

• Previous container hauling experience desired
• Landoll trailer experience preferred

Special Considerations

Certain roles may require a clean-shaven face to ensure proper use of safety equipment. Candidates must be prepared to adhere to grooming standards specific to each site.
