Part-Time Position

Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the delivery and pickup of containers to and from customer locations, ensuring effective and incident-free operations while maintaining excellent rapport with customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive and operate a commercial truck with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers safely, following all safety rules.
• Perform and log daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and lift.
• Accept additional deliveries as required to meet business needs.
• Use company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation.
• Operate a forklift and/or overhead crane.
• Clean and inspect containers to ensure they are presentable for delivery.
• Coordinate rental paperwork and payments with customers.
• Communicate with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding customer questions or issues; prepare driver notes as needed.
• Perform repairs of containers and lifts in the field and at the storage center.
• Provide backup for storage center functions when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the truck cab, inside and outside.

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Typically reports to Management, such as Market or Territory Managers.
• This role does not involve direct management responsibilities like hiring or performance management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL Class B License without air brake restriction.
• Must maintain a current/valid driver’s license.
• Meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards.
• Must be at least 21 years old (insurance requirement).
• Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain one (DOT requirement).
• Experience with electronic equipment and software preferred.
• Math skills sufficient for duties required.
• Ability to attend a 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.
