Job summary

Morrison Industrial Equipment is seeking a CDL Licensed Mechanic for our Muskegon branch at 841 East Barney Ave., Muskegon, MI 49444. The role focuses on local transportation and delivery of equipment, with light mechanical and maintenance work as needed.

This is a full-time, first-shift position averaging around 40 hours per week with overtime opportunities. Starting compensation depends on experience and ranges from $22-26/hr.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as technician or mechanic preferred.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to the dynamic needs of the job.
• Work independently with minimum supervision.
• Value the importance of safety.
• Ability to lift 80 pounds due to Lift and Move Functions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns.
• Communicate repairs with customers.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with Parts and Service Department daily.
• Comply with all safety procedures within Morrison’s guidelines.
• Attend shift ready to work when scheduled.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
• Keep an accurate detailed record of delivery and pickup.
• Monitor truck maintenance.
• Maintain accurate inventory of packages and materials.
• Load and unload vehicle according to time allotted.
• Administrative tasks such as printing paperwork, planning routes, managing emails.
• Assist with training.
