Job summary

Performance Food Group in the United States is seeking an entry level Driver - In Training to learn hauling freight and operating tractor trailers while assisting designated driver trainers with deliveries and routes.

You will interact professionally with customers, vendors and coworkers, complete required training, and help ensure on-time deliveries and safe, accurate handling of products at customer locations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Current Class A License
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
• Pass road test
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one

Responsibilities

• The Driver - In Training is an entry level driver training role learning hauling freight and operating tractor trailers.
• Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally.
• Functions as a team member and performs duties to best serve the company.
• Completes Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program as required.
• Drives to and delivers customer orders according to route schedule.
• Unloads products and secures freight at customer sites.
• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.

Education

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent

Current Class A License
