Qualifications

2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
High School diploma/GED preferred.
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) per assigned vehicle type required.
FMCSA regulations knowledge required.
Ability to meet FMCSA drug and alcohol clearinghouse requirements.
Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) quality criteria per Federal regulations required.

Responsibilities

Responsible for operating commercial vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating over 26,001 lbs to deliver or pick up merchandise.
May be responsible for driving and safety-related activities on motor vehicles weighing 10,000 pounds or less.
Follows safety procedures including cargo securement and tarp usage where applicable.
Safely maneuvers trucks into loading/unloading positions and loads/unloads vehicles as required.
Performs daily vehicle inspections and records defects per FMCSA requirements.
Uses an electronic logging device (ELD) to log daily activities per FMCSA.
Reports traffic incidents or vehicle damage to supervision.
Reads bills of lading and verifies documentation; obtains receipts as needed.
Adheres to safety processes and protocols.
