Job summary

ASP Enterprises, Inc. in Omaha, NE seeks a delivery driver to perform material pickups and customer deliveries from our warehouse and yard. You will coordinate with the warehouse team to rotate stock, assist in equipment maintenance, and ensure safe, timely transportation of materials across routes.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and a valid Class B CDL. Expect long hours during peak seasons, a strong safety focus, and a comprehensive benefits package including PTO,

Responsibilities

• Operates a truck according to state and federal laws.
• Transports loads safely and on time over required routes.
• Maneuvers truck into loading/unloading areas and follows signals.
• Assists with loading/unloading and rotates stock as needed.
• Maintains invoices and paperwork and delivers them post-route.
• Keeps delivery vehicles clean and presentable.
• Reports maintenance items to the warehouse manager.
• Organizes products and rotates stock as received.
• Performs daily upkeep to keep warehouse and yard clean.

Job description

At our warehouse and outside yard, our drivers is responsible for material pickups and deliveries to customers in a safe and timely matter. Drivers also work with our warehouse team to organize, rotate stock, assist in maintenance of equipment, load and unload material. Drivers must have a Class B CDL at minimum.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Operates a truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
• Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations.
• Deftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follows loading crew signals.
• Assists with loading and unloading of goods and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; unloads empty skids and returns all equipment to designated area.
• Maintains signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork; delivers documentation to shipping office or other appropriate staff when delivery route is complete.
• Keeping delivery vehicles clean and looking professional
• Keeping warehouse manager aware of maintenance items needed on vehicles and assisting with any repair and maintenance of equipment.
• Organizing products and rotating stock as product is received
• Daily upkeep with products to maintain a clean and organized warehouse and yard

Job Requirements/Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
• Ability to remain focused in busy environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum, valid Class B CDL.

Physical Requirements

• Must adhere to all safety rules at all times
• Must be able to lift 55+ pounds at a time.
• Willingness to work long hours, particularly during high peak business season, sometimes undesirable ranges of climate and weather conditions.
• Frequent exposure to heavy equipment.
• May need to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to travel frequently.
• Prolonged periods of sitting in a trailer cab.
