Job summary

QXO in Grand Island, NE is hiring a CDL driver to perform touch-freight tasks, pre-inspect trucks, load materials, and ensure safe loading and unloading. You will maintain communication with the dispatcher and follow DOT safety procedures.

Candidates must hold a valid Class A or B CDL, have at least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience, be comfortable outdoors in all weather, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A or B CDL license.
• Minimum 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load.
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE.
