Job summary

Prestage Farms is seeking a CDL driver to safely and efficiently deliver hogs from farms to the plant. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday with some weekends.

Responsibilities include maneuvering trucks, complying with regulations, logging hours, planning routes, and inspecting vehicles for safety. Applicants should have 21+ years, a valid CDL-A, and trucking school or 1 year experience.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Commercial Driver License Class A.
• Must be 21 years old or older.
• One year driving experience or Trucking School Certificate.
• No recent moving or driving violations.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs (up to 100 lbs occasionally).
• Willing to submit to background/drug checks.
• Able to drive long hours and travel regularly.
• Extensive knowledge of trucking rules and regulations.

Prestage Farms is looking for a CDL truck driver to safety and efficiently deliver hogs from the farms to the plant. This is a full-time position which consists of Monday through Friday and some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Document and log work/rest periods.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. & occasionally up to 100 lbs
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
• Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
• one year driving experience or Trucking School Certificate
• Valid Commercial driver license class A
• must be 21 years old or older
