Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro in Denver is seeking a Transit Bus Operator to safely transport passengers and provide excellent customer service across shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, assist riders including those with disabilities, communicate with dispatch, and uphold safety and regulatory standards while representing our mission and values.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license; satisfactory driving record.
• Preferred: CDL Class B with passenger and air brake endorsement.
• Must meet DOT physical requirements; pass drug and background checks; physically capable.

Responsibilities

Role Overview: We are seeking a Transit Bus Operator responsible for safely operating transit vehicles, ensuring timely passenger transport, and providing excellent customer service.

• Key Responsibilities: Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, practice defensive driving, assist passengers including those with disabilities, share route information, operate transit equipment, communicate professionally with dispatch and riders, complete required paperwork, observe safety protocols, and embody the organization’s mission and values.
• Qualifications & Skills: High School diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and satisfactory driving record. Preferred: CDL Class B with passenger and air brake endorsement. Must meet DOT physical requirements, pass drug and background checks, and be physically capable of operating the vehicle and performing related duties.
• Key Duties: Ensuring safety and compliance with federal and local regulations, maintaining vehicle safety, assisting diverse passengers, managing communication, and supporting community engagement.
• Work Environment: Full-time role involving shifts across all days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with physical demands such as sitting, standing, and occasional lifting.
