Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Transit Bus Operator to safely drive transit vehicles, ensuring timely passenger service and outstanding customer care in a busy urban environment.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, assist riders including those with disabilities, operate fare boxes and dispatch systems, communicate with dispatch and passengers, and complete required paperwork while upholding safety and community values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license; CDL Class B with passenger and air brake endorsements preferred.
• Must pass DOT physical, drug and alcohol tests, background check, and medical exam.

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, practice defensive driving, assist passengers—including those with disabilities—share route information, operate fare boxes and dispatch systems, communicate professionally with dispatch and passengers, and complete required paperwork. Maintain safety protocols, report hazards, and embody organizational values in community interactions.

Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license, with preferred CDL Class B with passenger and air brake endorsements. Must meet physical standards, pass DOT physical, drug and alcohol tests, background check, and medical exam. Excellent communication, coordination, endurance, and alertness are essential.
