PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Operates semi-tractors and tankers following specified schedules to/from company or customer locations to achieve profitable growth.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Operates semi-tractors and tankers according to safety standards and proper vehicle operation techniques.
• Performs and records daily safety checks, including pre-trip inspections and maintenance, maintaining a professional appearance.
• Follows all DOT regulations.
• Ensures timely deliveries and pickups, promoting customer service and professionalism.
• Completes documentation such as bills of lading, delivery slips, and invoices accurately and on time.
• Maintains accurate logbooks and records of cargo daily.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

• Follows Manito Transit’s Code of Conduct, Safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent, with 2+ years of related experience operating tractor-trailers.
• Demonstrates business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making, and skill development.
• Must have or obtain a valid CDL with endorsements, medical card, and a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to work extended hours and obtain necessary certifications.
• Occasionally exposed to extreme weather, dust, fumes, chemicals, electrical hazards, and varying heights.
• Lift 51-70 lbs.
• Willingness to participate in training on company policies and safety procedures.
