Job summary

B&F Contracting is seeking a dependable CDL Driver to support underground utility construction operations in Phoenix, AZ. You will safely operate Class A vehicles to move materials and equipment, and assist with general labor on site when not driving.

Responsibilities include logging, load securing, and coordinating with site crews to meet schedules, while complying with safety rules and DOT/OSHA standards. Some overtime or night/weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with a clean driving record is required.
• At least 2 years of commercial driving experience; construction experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Ability to tow trailers with heavy equipment.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in heat.
• Arizona outdoor work with no restrictions; safety first.
• Experience around underground utilities is preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends if needed.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A commercial vehicles (dump trucks, flatbeds, equipment trailers).
• Transport heavy equipment, tools, and materials to job sites safely and on time.
• Maintain accurate driving logs and delivery records.
• Secure loads per safety and regulatory standards.
• Comply with DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report issues or maintenance.
• Assist with loading/unloading construction materials and equipment.
• Coordinate with site supervisors to meet project schedules.
• Support underground utility crews with labor tasks (digging, site cleanup, equipment handling).
