Job summary

Superior Environmental Solutions (SES) is seeking a safety‑focused CDL Driver / Equipment Operator to join our dynamic team in Middletown, OH. You will operate Roll‑Off, Flat Bed, Vacuum, and Service Trucks, and perform pre/post‑trip inspections while ensuring compliance with safety policies.

You will document all required paperwork, operate high‑pressure water blaster and vacuum equipment, and perform Field Technician duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class A or B CDL with Tanker Endorsement (N) or Tanker+Hazardous (X) endorsement, air brakes, and a current DOT medical certificate.
• Must have experience driving a manual 10-speed or higher.
• Maintain insurability under the company’s insurance plan.
• Must understand English to follow safety instructions and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety priority by following all company and customer safety policies.
• Drive and operate CDL equipment safely, including Roll‑Off, Flat Bed, Vacuum, and Service Trucks; conduct pre/post-trip inspections.
• Document all required paperwork per laws and policy clearly.
• Operate high‑pressure water blaster and vacuum equipment.
• Perform Field Technician duties (shoveling, tank cleaning).
• Communicate professionally with on‑site customer representatives.
• Lead and direct subordinate personnel to perform duties safely and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Maintain equipment and company property in good condition.
• Understand elevated or confined space entry and crane safety; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that Safety is the first priority by complying with all safe work practices, rules, regulations, and safety policies set forth by the company and the customer.
• Drive and operate all CDL required equipment in a safe and professional manner, including Roll‑Off Trucks, Flat Bed Trucks, Vacuum Trucks, and Service Trucks; perform pre/post‑trip inspections on units.
• Properly document all company, federal, state, and customer documentation/paperwork as required by law or established policy in a clear and legible manner.
• Operate high‑pressure water‑blaster and vacuum equipment.
• Perform Field Technician duties as required (shoveling, tank cleaning).
• Communicate effectively and professionally with on‑site customer representatives.
• Lead and direct subordinate personnel to perform duties in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
• Troubleshoot equipment and, as needed, perform minor repairs.

• Possess a general understanding and ability to work in elevated or confined space entry‑required areas, as well as lock‑out/tag‑out and crane safety (training provided by SES).

Skills & Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a Class “A” or “B” CDL license with a Tanker Endorsement (N) or Combination of Tanker and Hazardous (X) endorsement, air brakes, and a current DOT medical certificate. CDL restriction codes not acceptable include: No Air Breaks (L), Intrastate Only (K), No Full Air Breaks (Z), No Manual Transmission (E), and Medical Variance (V).
• Must have experience driving at least a manual 10‑speed transmission or higher.
• Maintain insurability under the company’s insurance plan.
• Have a general understanding and ability to work in elevated or confined space entry‑required areas, as well as lock‑out/tag‑out and crane safety (training provided by SES).
• Must comprehend and understand the English language to a level that all safety instructions and emergency situations are complied with.
• Must pass pre‑employment, random, reasonable suspicion, and post‑accident/injury substance abuse screening and background check.
• Must be willing to travel overnight for assignments as required.
• Must be able to perform Technician 1 within 30 days of employment and full knowledge for Technician 2 & 3 within the first year.
• Essential physical functions/requirements of the job:
  • Distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty.
  • Repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl.
  • Repetitively lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
  • Work in extreme conditions such as heat, cold, dust, and wet conditions for extended periods.
  • Work in confined spaces and tight quarters.
  • Wear protective clothing such as respirators, safety glasses, steel‑toe shoes, coveralls, and hearing protection.
  • Climb ladders and work from stationary platforms at elevated heights and confined spaces.
  • Capable of working extended hours and variable shifts.
