Job summary

Superior Environmental Solutions (SES) is seeking a safe, detail‑focused CDL Driver / Equipment Operator to join our team in Ohio. You will drive Roll‑Off, Flat Bed, Vacuum, and Service Trucks, performing pre/post‑trip inspections and maintaining records.

Responsibilities include safety‑first operations, equipment troubleshooting, coordinating with on‑site clients, and supporting field technicians. Must pass screenings and be willing to travel overnight as required.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A or B CDL with Tanker (N) or Tanker+Hazardous (X) endorsements.
• Experience driving a manual 10-speed or higher.
• Maintain insurability under the company’s insurance plan.
• English language required to understand safety instructions.
• Must pass pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident/injury drug screens and background check.
• Must be willing to travel overnight for assignments.
• Must be able to perform Technician 1 within 30 days and Technician 2/3 within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment and perform minor repairs; maintain equipment and company property in good condition.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that Safety is the first priority by complying with all safe work practices, rules, regulations, and safety policies set forth by the company and the customer.
• Drive and operate all CDL required equipment in a safe and professional manner, including Roll‑Off Trucks, Flat Bed Trucks, Vacuum Trucks, and Service Trucks; perform pre/post‑trip inspections on units.
• Properly document all company, federal, state, and customer documentation/paperwork as required by law or established policy in a clear and legible manner.
• Operate high‑pressure water‑blaster and vacuum equipment.
• Perform Field Technician duties as required (shoveling, tank cleaning).
• Communicate effectively and professionally with on‑site customer representatives.
• Lead and direct subordinate personnel to perform duties in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
• Troubleshoot equipment and, as needed, perform minor repairs.
• Maintain equipment and company property in proper condition.
• Possess a general understanding and ability to work in elevated or confined space entry‑required areas, as well as lock‑out/tag‑out and crane safety (training provided by SES).

Skills & Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a Class “A” or “B” CDL license with a Tanker Endorsement (N) or Combination of Tanker and Hazardous (X) endorsement, air brakes, and a current DOT medical certificate. CDL restriction codes not acceptable include: No Air Breaks (L), Intrastate Only (K), No Full Air Breaks (Z), No Manual Transmission (E), and Medical Variance (V).
• Must have experience driving at least a manual 10‑speed transmission or higher.
• Maintain insurability under the company’s insurance plan.
• Have a general understanding and ability to work in elevated or confined space entry‑required areas, as well as lock‑out/tag‑out and crane safety (training provided by SES).
• Must comprehend and understand the English language to a level that all safety instructions and emergency situations are complied with.
• Must pass pre‑employment, random, reasonable suspicion, and post‑accident/injury substance abuse screening and background check.
• Must be willing to travel overnight for assignments as required.
• Must be able to perform Technician 1 within 30 days of employment and full knowledge for Technician 2 & 3 within the first year.
• Essential physical functions/requirements of the job:
  • Distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty.
  • Repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl.
  • Repetitively lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
  • Work in extreme conditions such as heat, cold, dust, and wet conditions for extended periods.
  • Work in confined spaces and tight quarters.
  • Wear protective clothing such as respirators, safety glasses, steel‑toe shoes, coveralls, and hearing protection.
  • Climb ladders and work from stationary platforms at elevated heights and confined spaces.
  • Capable of working extended hours and variable shifts.
