Position Purpose:

Food and food service delivery drivers fulfill a critical role in the country's food supply chain. Our delivery drivers ensure products arrive at their destination on time and in good condition, serving as the face of our company and building lasting customer relationships.

The Driver, Formula CDL-B, is responsible for driving tractor trailers or straight trucks on local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight routes to deliver and unload food and related products safely and timely, in accordance with DOT regulations. They communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers, ensuring questions are answered accurately and promptly. The driver functions as a team member and performs any duties necessary to serve the company effectively.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations; report safety issues or repairs needed.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies; inspect trailer for proper loading and security.
• Check and verify loaded items and customer invoices; complete all freight paperwork accurately.
• Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed.
• Drive to and deliver customer orders according to schedule.
• Unload products, transport to storage areas, and perform damage checks.
• Verify deliveries with customers and obtain signatures.
• Collect payments where required.
• Load customer returns, secure trailer, and unload damaged goods and returns.
• Ensure equipment and freight are secured; perform daily logs and housekeeping duties.
• Complete all shift-related paperwork and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• 12 months of commercial driving experience
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent
• Valid CDL B
• Meet state licensing/certification requirements
• Must be 21 years of age
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
• Pass post-offer drug test and background check
• Pass road test
• Valid DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one
• Ability to lift and move freight weighing 10-90 pounds as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Over 1 year of commercial driving experience
• Experience in foodservice distribution
• Experience with onboard electronic log systems (e.g., PeopleNet)
• Experience with point-of-delivery scanning systems (e.g., POD)
• Customer service experience
