Position Details:

  • Pay: Average first-year earnings between $70,000 - $80,000
  • Schedule:
    • Work Days: Tuesday - Saturday
    • Days Off: Sunday & Monday
    • Home Time: Home every night - No OTR

Position Purpose:

Food and food service delivery drivers fulfill a critical role in the country's food supply chain. Our drivers ensure products arrive at their destination on time and in good condition. They are also the face of our company, building lasting relationships with customers.

The Driver, Formula CDL-B, is responsible for driving tractor trailers or straight trucks on local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight routes for delivering and unloading food products safely and timely, complying with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. They communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers, and perform duties to serve the company effectively.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspections according to DOT regulations.
  • Report safety issues or repairs needed.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies, ensuring freight is properly loaded and secured.
  • Check and verify loaded items and customer invoices.
  • Complete all required freight documentation accurately.
  • Drive to and deliver orders according to schedule.
  • Unload products and assist with storage.
  • Perform damage checks, scan, and report issues.
  • Verify deliveries with customers and obtain signatures.
  • Collect payments when required.
  • Load returns and secure trailers.
  • Ensure equipment and freight are secured and locked.
  • Handle damaged goods and returns, complete paperwork.
  • Maintain daily logs of hours and perform housekeeping duties.
  • Secure all equipment and complete paperwork at shift end.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 12 months of commercial driving experience
    • High school diploma/GED or equivalent
    • Valid CDL B
    • Meet state licensing/certification requirements
    • Must be 21 years or older
    • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
    • Pass post-offer drug test and background check
    • Pass road test
    • Valid DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one
    • Ability to lift and handle freight weighing 10-90 pounds and operate related equipment

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Over 1 year of commercial driving experience
    • Experience in foodservice distribution
    • Experience with onboard electronic logs (e.g., PeopleNet)
    • Experience with delivery scanning systems (e.g., POD)
    • Customer service experience
