Job description

Job Description: This position is for a delivery driver with a Class B license. Candidate will be operating a box truck or a flatbed and will need to load/offload at the Customer site using a pallet jack or a hand truck. This is a Customer facing position that needs to have great Customer Service skills as well. This is strictly a delivery position. May need to sweep warehouse while the truck is being loaded.

Must be 21 years or older!

All drivers must hold the required state-issued self-certification designation of non-excepted interstate and provide proof. All drivers must hold at a minimum a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License.

All drivers must have at least one (1) year of driving the class of vehicles they will be driving while assigned to *** Enterprises, Inc. All drivers must have had a CDL for minimum of one year.

In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by branch management. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location size and operations. The manager is looking for someone who shows up to work and isn't afraid to work.

Job Functions:

1. Deliver materials by the time scheduled by your supervisor.
2. Validate directions.
3. Unload or assist in unloading material as required.
4. Ensure that material is properly secured and within weight limits.
5. Ensure delivery of ticket with material and obtain customer signature.
6. Communicate with your supervisor throughout the day.
7. Pick up customer returns and validate that product matches request for credit.
8. Pick up local-pickup purchase orders.
9. Secure and return packing list(s).
10. Verify all material has been unloaded and placed at the delivery site.
11. Verify the customers signature on the delivery ticket.
12. Print name next to signature if necessary.
13. Review delivered orders with the supervisor for completion, accuracy, and format.
14. Return all delivery ticket copies to warehouse and verify that none are missing.
15. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
16. Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and regulations.
17. Fuel the truck as necessary.
18. Report any vehicle problems, moving violations, accidents, and defects to the supervisor. Compliance with company uniform policy.
19. Assist in warehouse as necessary.
20. Represent the company in a professional manner at all times ensuring quality customer service.
21. Abide by all policies, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
22. Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives of the company.
23. Work overtime as needed.

Drivers will drive trucks that are 10,000 to 26,000 pounds, including box trucks and flatbeds, and will be required to load and unload trucks at customer locations.

Comments for Suppliers: Work Hours: 7am-3:30pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
