Job description

Job Description: This position is for a delivery driver with a Class B license. Candidate will operate a box truck or flatbed and load/offload at the customer site using a pallet jack or hand truck. This is a customer-facing role requiring excellent customer service skills. The position is strictly for delivery, with occasional warehouse sweeping during loading.

Must be 21 years or older!

All drivers must hold the required state-issued self-certification designation of non-excepted interstate and provide proof. A valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required. Drivers must have at least one (1) year of experience operating the vehicle type assigned to *** Enterprises, Inc.

All associates will perform duties as requested by branch management, which may vary based on location and operations. The ideal candidate is reliable and willing to work.

Job Functions:

1. Deliver materials by the scheduled time.
2. Validate directions and assist in unloading materials as required.
3. Ensure materials are secured and within weight limits.
4. Deliver tickets with materials and obtain customer signatures.
5. Communicate with supervisors throughout the day.
6. Handle customer returns and verify products for credit.
7. Pick up local purchase orders and secure packing lists.
8. Ensure all materials are unloaded and placed correctly at the delivery site.
9. Verify customer signatures on delivery tickets, printing names if necessary.
10. Review orders with supervisors for accuracy and completeness.
11. Return all delivery tickets to the warehouse, ensuring none are missing.
12. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
13. Comply with all DOT standards and regulations.
14. Fuel the truck as needed and report any vehicle issues or violations.
15. Follow company uniform and safety policies.
16. Assist in warehouse tasks as needed.
17. Represent the company professionally, ensuring quality customer service.
18. Adhere to all company policies, rules, and safety procedures.
19. Support corporate initiatives and work overtime as required.

Drivers will operate trucks ranging from 10,000 to 26,000 pounds (box and flatbed), loading and unloading at customer locations.

Work hours are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
