Job description

Job Description: For the right fit, this position could convert to full-time with ***. A Class A Driver is needed with experience in flatbed, tractor-trailer, auto, and manual transmissions, as well as moffett forklift operation. Responsibilities include hauling loose crates and bundled pipe. Deliveries are scheduled within a 2-hour window based on an 8-10 hour workday. The role involves 80% driving and 20% unloading materials. Candidates must be able to pass security clearance background checks due to government delivery sites.

Must haves:

• Customer service skills
• Smartphone proficiency
• Minimal work history gaps (no more than 3 months)

Additional requirements:

• Must be 21 years or older
• Hold a valid state-issued self-certification designation of non-excepted interstate and provide proof
• Possess at least a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Previous Moffett lift experience
• At least one year of driving experience in the vehicle class assigned to *** Enterprises, Inc.

All employees will perform duties as requested by branch management, which may vary by location.

Job Functions:

1. Deliver materials by the scheduled time
2. Validate directions
3. Unload or assist in unloading materials as required
4. Ensure materials are properly secured and within weight limits
5. Deliver tickets with materials and obtain customer signatures
6. Communicate with supervisors throughout the day
7. Handle customer returns and verify product matches requests for credit
8. Pick up local purchase orders and secure packing lists
9. Ensure all materials are unloaded and placed correctly at delivery sites
10. Verify customer signatures on delivery tickets and print names if necessary
11. Review deliveries with supervisors for accuracy and completeness
12. Return all delivery tickets to the warehouse, ensuring none are missing
13. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
14. Comply with all DOT standards and regulations
15. Fuel the vehicle as needed
16. Report vehicle issues, violations, accidents, and defects
17. Follow company uniform and safety policies
18. Assist in warehouse operations as needed
19. Represent the company professionally, ensuring quality customer service
20. Abide by all company policies, rules, and safety regulations
21. Support corporate initiatives and work overtime as required
22. Operate any vehicle with a semi-trailer or trailer with two or more axles

Comments for Suppliers: Work hours are Monday through Friday, 5 am to 2 pm, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch. Overtime may be expected.
