Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a CDL driver to deliver materials in the San Leandro area. You will be home daily with no nights or weekends, on a Monday–Friday schedule (5:00am–1:30pm) with overtime as needed, starting at $34/hour depending on experience.

The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and basic tech use (iPads). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL and be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass pre-employment drug and background screening.
• Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs.
• Follow all DOT standards and maintain a valid DOT Medical card.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to customers using pallet jack and two-wheel dolly, and ensure delivery ticket is present.
• Pick up customer returns and verify product for credit requests.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and fuel the truck as needed.
• Follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment and stock incoming material.
• Work overtime as needed.

Position Details:

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid CDL
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Meet and maintain qualifications for CDL requirements
• Follow all DOT standards and regulations
• Must currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card in order to meet driver requirements.
• Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs
• A background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving and delivery is a plus
• Strong communicator with a customer-focused approach
• Able to navigate and operate basic technology, including iPads

Responsibilities:

• Deliver materials to the customer, which includes utilizing pallet jack and two-wheel dolly to load and unload and ensuring delivery of ticket with material
• Pick up customer returns, validating product match for credit requests
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems or issues to supervisor
• Follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment as needed, as well as receiving, verifying, staging and stocking incoming material
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.

Pay Range:

$24.07 - $38.45

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
