Job summary

SupplyOne Inc. is seeking an afternoon truck driver to handle transfers, drop and hook in Cleveland & Columbus with limited local pickups. You will operate automatic 53’ & 48’ trailers, back trucks in, load/unload, and maintain logs while adhering to safety and company policies.

The role requires strong teamwork, punctual communication, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures. Competitive benefits accompany base pay based on location and experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Experience with deliveries and pickups in a logistics environment.
• Ability to operate forklifts to load/unload when trained.

This includes attending weekly departmental meetings, as well as helping resolve interdepartmental conflicts.Participating in seminars to train all departmental personnel when needed. This includes learning product knowledge and procedural proficiencies.Conducting all operations within established budgets.Using and submitting all forms and reports in a complete, accurate, and timely basis. This includes respecting and maintaining proper filing systems.Ensuring your work areas are clean and presentable to customers and other visitors.Maintaining a reasonable work environment and providing adequate safeguards for your work-related health and safety. This includes complying with all Federal, state, and local laws and regulations.Maintaining all external relationships consistent with the objectives, operating philosophy, and desired image of the company, re: customer relations, public relations, vendor relations, and community relations.Maintaining confidentiality on all corporate subjects so classified.PRINCIPAL DUTIES: The following are performed by the Truck Driver:Deliveries & PickupsOperate trucks and vehiclesBack trucks in a safe mannerReceive item list, delivery schedule, release form, invoices, load tags from Shipping SupervisorOpen and unbar trucksOperate Forklifts to load trucks as necessary if trained to do so (See Forklift Operator Job Description)Ensure that trucks are loaded inLocate customersMake deliveriesUnload trucks as requiredReconcile load tag with Bill of LadingReceive a customer's signatureWhen making deliveries after hours, always ensure that the customer will still be open and help will be available to unload the truck if necessaryMake Pick Up and deliveries and perform inventory duties at the second warehouseReport location and status via truck radio on a regular basisReport when you arrive and when you leave each location, also report unusual delays or deviancies from scheduleMaintain a daily vehicle log with location, time, and mileage entries made per stop as well as vehicle maintenanceCustomer ServiceRepresent SupplyOne in a professional and considerate manner at all timesBe professional in appearance, ensure that the truck remains in good repairMaintenance & SafetyPerform physical inventory counts as directed by the Shipping SupervisorMaintain cleanliness of shipping area: sweep, dispose of trash, etc.Maintain second warehouse when assigned to do soMaintain vehicles in a safe manner, ensure that vehicle maintenance schedule is followedMake sure that vehicles are loaded in a safe manner, all loads are secured and doors closedCheck oil daily, tires and fuel as neededAlways operate a vehicle in a safe and courteous manner and in accordance with all laws and posted speed limitsMaintain a valid driver’s license for duties performedReport accidents immediately via radioRender immediate medical assistance to others as necessaryEnsure that trucks are secured at night in the SupplyOne yardNo smoking allowed in SupplyOne vehiclesNo unauthorized passengersNo unauthorized drivers at any timeThe final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors such as work location, job-related skills, qualifications, experience, responsibilities, and relevant education and training.
