Phase2 Technology in Goodland, IN is seeking a Class A CDL driver to operate semi-tractors, tankers, and dump trailers according to schedules to support profitable operations. You will perform daily safety checks, complete all required documentation, and maintain professional standards while adhering to DOT regulations.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL with HazMat and tanker endorsements, at least two years of related experience, and the ability to pass background, medical, and drug tests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of related work experience in trucking/haulage.
• Class A CDL with HazMat Endorsement and Tanker Endorsement.
• Must pass background check, have a valid medical card, and provide DOT Clearinghouse credentials.
• Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Operate semi-tractors, tankers, and dump trailers per safety standards and schedules.
• Perform and record pre-trip inspections and adhere to maintenance programs.
• Complete required paperwork (logbooks, bills of ladings, delivery/invoice slips).
• Meet DOT regulations and ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
• Provide high level customer service and professional conduct at all times.
• Willing to work extended hours, weekends, and on-call as required.

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Operates semi-tractors, tankers, and dump trailers following specified time schedules to/from company locations, customer locations and terminals to achieve profitable business growth.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Operates all assigned vehicle(s), single, tandem, or multi axle configurations, forklifts, etc. in accordance with established safety standards and proper vehicle operation techniques.

Performs and records daily safety checks of assigned vehicle(s) and associated equipment by conducting pre‑trip inspections, such as checking fuel and oil levels, inspecting tires, lights, and brakes. Follows the preventative maintenance program and maintains a clean truck to present a professional appearance.

Follows all DOT regulations as required.

Ensures that all deliveries and pickups are made in accordance with time schedules and performs duties in a manner that promotes superior customer service and professionalism within the company and the industry.

Ensures that all associated documentation, such as bill of ladings, delivery slips, and invoices are completed accurately and returned to the branch location at the end of the day in order to ensure timely receiving and payment of invoices.

Completes necessary paperwork, including accurate logbooks, records of cargo and any other assigned record‑keeping duties on a daily basis.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for maintaining company equipment according to company standards, adheres to the company Uniform Policy, and maintains the appropriate professional image.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 2 years or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to safely operate tractor trailer, tender truck, and dump trailer equipment and to meet company and DOT standards.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a Class A CDL license with Hazardous Materials Endorsement and tanker endorsement.

Must:

• successfully pass a background check
• hold valid medical card
• have a satisfactory driving record (MVR)
• provide and authorize DOT Clearinghouse credentials
• pass a DOT pre-employment drug test

Must be willing to work at various other operational jobs during slow times.

Ability to work extended hours, weekends and on‑call as business conditions warrant.

Must be physically able to climb in and out of semi‑tractor multiple times daily.

Must be able to tender dry and liquid machines as well as pull and hook up hoses.

Must be physically able to lift 51‑70 lbs.

Occasionally exposed or required to:

• Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
• Noisy conditions
• Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures
• May be required to work at varying heights
