Job summary

CBP Environmental, Inc. is seeking a CDL Driver to join our Southeast-based team. The role focuses on hauling oversized loads, loading/unloading equipment, securing cargo, and maintaining safety standards in line with DOT regulations.

A valid Class A CDL and DOT medical card are required, with preference for hazmat endorsement. This full-time position offers full health coverage, a 401k with company match, paid vacation and holidays, and a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Must have Valid Class A CDL and DOT Physical/Medical Card.
• Minimum 3 years lowboy experience required.
• Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehicles.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred.
• Be available for occasional overtime and occasional overnight trips.

Responsibilities

• Ride-along with equipment handling and proper securing of cargo.
• Load and unload equipment as needed and operate heavy equipment.
• Perform pre and post trip inspections and maintain logs as required.
• Follow DOT regulations and use ELD for logs and records.
• Provide safe, timely hauling of oversized loads and coordinate with mechanics when needed.

Salary is based upon experience.

• Previous experience in truck hauling oversize loads (bulldozers, loaders, excavators, articulated dump trucks)
• Ability to load and unload equipment
• Ability to drive and operate heavy equipment (GVW 88,000, loads up to 200,000 pounds, 11 axles)
• Properly secure cargo
• Haul load in a timely and safe manner
• Use the ELD in accordance with the DOT regulations
• Manage logs and records as required
• Perform pre and post trip inspections
• Assist mechanics as needed
• Follow all safety and traffic regulations
• Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, fluids check, vehicle cleanliness)

Requirements

• Must pass drug screen
• Must pass background check
