Job summary

Job description

Job Description: Class A CDL driver role with a significant presence working in the warehouse. Some days, you might only work in the warehouse. The driver will operate a manual F250 and/or flatbed bobtail 26' truck. Candidate will assist with loading but will not be responsible for unloading the truck. When working in the warehouse, the candidate will receive products, load and unload, and pull orders using a sit-down forklift.

Must be 21 years or older!

All drivers must hold the required state-issued self-certification designation of non-excepted interstate and provide proof. A valid Class B Commercial Driver's License is required at minimum. Drivers must have at least one (1) year of experience operating the class of vehicles they will be assigned to, and must have held a CDL for at least one year.

In addition to the core responsibilities, all associates will perform duties as requested by branch management, which may vary based on location and operations.

Job Functions:

1. Deliver materials on schedule.
2. Validate directions.
3. Assist in unloading materials as required.
4. Ensure materials are secured and within weight limits.
5. Deliver tickets with materials and obtain customer signatures.
6. Communicate with supervisor throughout the day.
7. Handle customer returns and verify products for credit.
8. Pick up local purchase orders.
9. Secure and return packing lists.
10. Verify all materials are unloaded and placed correctly.
11. Ensure customer signatures are obtained on delivery tickets.
12. Review orders with supervisor for accuracy and completeness.
13. Return all delivery tickets to the warehouse, ensuring none are missing.
14. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
15. Comply with all DOT standards and regulations.
16. Refuel the vehicle as needed.
17. Report vehicle issues, violations, accidents, or defects.
18. Follow company uniform and safety policies.
19. Assist in warehouse duties as needed.
20. Represent the company professionally, ensuring quality customer service.
21. Follow all company policies, rules, and safety procedures.
22. Support corporate initiatives and work overtime as needed.
23. Class A license holders can operate any vehicle with a semi-trailer or trailer over two axles, including combinations over 26,001 pounds gross vehicle weight, with towed vehicles over 10,000 pounds.

Comments for Suppliers: Work hours are 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. No overtime potential for this role.
