Class A CDL Company Driver - Manual Transmission

Location: Aluminum Facility

What Brought You Here

• Pay range: Class A $24-$26/hour
• Quarterly safety bonus opportunities
• Shift Days and Hours: The position is M-F. Hours vary depending on daily route, with 1-2 overnights a week.

Who You Are:

• You have previous over-the-road experience.
• You can operate a manual transmission.
• You are familiar with pre- and post-trip inspections and using online log systems.
• Enjoy overnight trips (1 night a week out, up to 2)

What You Will Be Doing

Successful candidates are motivated and eager to provide high-level customer service. To perform this role successfully, individuals must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsibilities include:

• Holding a current and active Class A or Class B Georgia Driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Driving truck to destination.
• Distributing receipts for loads picked up.
• Occasionally collecting payment for goods delivered and delivery charges.
• Maintaining truck logs according to regulations.
• Maintaining communication with supervisors via telephone or radio for delivery instructions.
• Loading and unloading trucks.
• Inspecting truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Securing cargo with blocks and ties during transit.

Skills You Bring:

• CDL licensed, pass Driver's Testing, DOT Physical, and Drug Testing.
• You can operate a manual transmission.
• Previous warehouse experience is highly preferred.
• Proficient in reading and writing English.
• Capable of working in physically demanding environments, including bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, lifting a minimum of 75 lbs, and extensive walking in all weather conditions.
• Basic math skills, map reading skills, and ability to read and write in English.
